HOME & BACK FOLDER DEVELOPMENT
NON-CUSTOM FOLDER
The idea for the non-custom folders came from a trip to Minneapolis, MN for a convention for School Mate®. Talking one-on-one with teachers about a better way to communicate between parent/student, a new product was born. The home & back folder has brilliant pockets on the inside that give way to organizing homework and keeping the parents and teacher in the loop with what needs to be returned to school and what needs to be taken home.

WRITE & DRAW JOURNAL
A groundbreaking discussion came about over proper ways to make our letter and number forms. Exercising my knowledge in typography from college, I introduced that all writing lines need to be consistent in allowing the correct space for descenders. Primary writing lines were put into place spaces between lines became consistent in spacing and the magenta baseline for easy writing line recognization. This addition of the magenta baseline was adapted throughout the journal and into other School Mate® writing supplies that use the primary line method.
